The school was created and devised to teach and train dedicated students who wish to achieve the little extra that dance has to offer. At RBS&PA, students young and old, study and learn to appreciate these beautiful art forms in a fully supervised and artistic environment. Students are taught the The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Syllabus. It is one of the world's leading dance examination boards. Formed in 1904, today it is a registered educational charity which covers the full spectrum of dance throughout the world.

OUR GOALS ARE:

To provide, a caring environment, artistic and academic training of the highest possible calibre, offering all students of the School a positive learning experience which is constantly monitored for potential improvement.

To maintain a high pass rate for vocational examinations.

To offer students as much information on auditions, competitions and performing opportunities as possible.

To achieve respect and a fair sense of discipline and politeness.

To promote and encourage cultural diversity, inclusivity and equality in dance and performing arts training. With equal opportunity to make the most of their talent irrespective of background.

To enable students who wish to consider a career in ballet or dance to be adequately prepared and guided for such a career.

To understand and be aware that not all students will not go on to dance professionally. Our aim is to nurture the joy and passion for movement and the love of performance and theatre.
