CLASSROOM POLICY

 

All teachers are CRB checked and hold an up to date first aid certificate. 

 

 Here are a few recommendations for Children's ballet class. 

  • Please ensure that all pupils visit the toilet prior to the start of the class. 

  • Please do not bring your child if they are unwell or injured. Open wounds should be covered with a suitable plaster. 

  • Please inform the teacher of any previous injury. 

  • In the interest of health and safety no jewellery will be allowed during class except where medical or religious reasons exist. 

  • No food or drink to be taken into the class. 

  • Please ensure all children wear the uniform. Cardigans must be tied, so they are easily removed. All items of the uniform must have the child's name securely in place. 

  • Hair must be tied back and if possible in a bun. 

  • Parents must collect pupils as they exit the ballet classroom. All young students must wait in the classroom if a parent has not arrived. 

  • Children are not permitted to go on to the school premises other than the changing area and the allocated halls. 

  • Four weeks notice is required in writing if the pupil is leaving or taking a break. 

  • If you have a change of address or telephone number, please ensure you let the school know of the change. 

  • Should you wish to discuss any aspect of your child's progress or any other issues please speak to the teacher, alternatively phone or email us. 

 

Refunds and Cancellations

  • Credit or refunds will not be given for missed classes due to illness, school holidays, or personal commitments.

  • School holidays and snow days are determined by the hall hire Warblington school, Portchester Parish Hall, Portchester Methodist Church Hall. When they are closed, we are closed. Please check the website for class cancellation on bad weathers days.

  • There are no refunds given for bad weather class cancellation, but the credit is pass over to the next term invoice. Alternatively they are welcome to make up the class/classes in another class at RBS&PA appropriate for the student.

  • If a very young student is not ready to participate in a class after several visits, a refund of tuition will be given at the discretion of RBS&PA 

  • When a student sustains an injury that does not permit them to participate over an extended period of time a credit will be issued.
