This guideline lays out the safety measures we will be implementing for September to keep our staff, Students, and customers safe as we re-open and re-start our activities and classes.

Covid -19 Guidance - Warblington School
Entrance and Exit

Students to enter at front door-Reception and exit at the fire exits (Parents/Carers May come in with Tinies and Pre-primary and special needs)

The front door will remain closed and will be manned by a member of staff when classes are scheduled.

Entry will be from 10-minutes prior to the start of class. There will be no access to the building before this. We will be operating a one-way system.

Only those who have registered for the class will be admitted into the building.
General

Lobby/Changing area closed

Toilet will be open for staff only. (Unless for emergencies) Female facilities will be a maximum of two people at a time and males one person at a time.

Dance classes will be in the main hall or gym.

Face covering isn’t essential for students. Teacher will wear face shield when needed.

Turn up ready and dress for class.

Do not come to class if you are unwell - If you or a member of your household has been unwell or has symptoms of COVID- 19 before attending a class, do not attend. We recommend you follow the latest government advice and use the NHS Track and Trace facility.

Staff will be there to ensure all users hand sanitise. Please bring your own, although we will have hand sanitiser and wipes available on-site.

Doors to be wedged open - so no contact made and rooms are ventilated.

Staff will use antibacterial wipes to wipe down ballet Barres, door handles, tables and chairs prior to and after use.
Including the toilet handles, sink and toilet seat and anything else that has had contact.

Social distancing level to be kept at 2 meters.

All rubbish to be taken home to users.

You will need to bring your own water/drink with you as the water fountain will not be operating. Any water bottles left behind will be disposed of.

You will need to bring outdoor clothing, bags and outdoor footwear with you into the studio. We ask that you bring a bag with you to store your outdoor shoes in.
During Class
-
Class will finish 5 minute earlier - for time to clean and leave the room.

Social distancing and staggered lines during class.

Mask can be removed during class -We will not be prescribing the wearing of masks in class as this may lead to raised anxiety levels, and other medical concerns plus the need to replace masks once they become moist. Alternatively, we will not prevent anyone wishing to wear a mask from doing so.

Barre marker with 2 meter distancing.

We do ask that teacher adapt their teaching practise, so they are not talking loudly or shouting above the music to reduce the aerial spread of droplets.

For all ‘drop-in (PAYG) classes.’ You MUST text on 07754001970 to check there is space within the class to safely social distance.

There will be no floor work or traveling, use of props, toys or equipment in class.

For safety measures there will be no bare feet in any classes. You will need to ensure you have the appropriate dance footwear for your class, for example ballet, jazz or trainers. For contemporary socks should be worn. If you are unsure of what to wear or do not have the dance shoes, please contact reception who will be able to help you with an alternative to wear.
Shop and fee paying

Entrance to shop will be at the dance studio fire exit. This is to be confirm by warblington school.

Invoices can be paid in two parts, if you have concerns of a repeat of a lock-down. 1st payment beginning of term & 2nd payment after the beginning of half term (Discounted rate can still be applied)

You must declare if you have travelled from a quarantined country in the last 14 days.

• Only disabled toilets to be used, if needed. Antibacterial wipes station at side of disabled to sanitise handles,
sink and toilet seat soap dispense, before and after use. All wipes to be placed in kitchen bin (black bag)
for disposal.

If you feel unwell after you have attended a class at RBS&PA please contact reception via telephone 07754001970 or email rochelleballet@hotmail.com giving your full name (or child’s name if a parent/carer making the call), the class/activity and date attended, then follow government guidelines and the NHS Track and Trace. We require this information to assist us to track and trace others who may have had contact with you within your class group, staff and ensure extra cleaning and our safety measures are reviewed.
